Spent some time in practice today working on some discrete skills that the Bill Drill tests: draw speed and efficiency, keeping my vision disciplined on a small spot and maintaining consistent grip pressure. My ability to visually process what’s happening is improving. I’m aware of the flash of red around my focal point confirming my dot is returning consistently, which allows me to shoot faster. With some important improvements to efficiency and technique, I’ve cut my draw down to around 1 second. Ran this in 2.15. But in order to beat the 2 second par time, I still have to shave a little time off my splits, which hover around .22-.23. Need to get those splits down to .20s. Overall, happy with the progress. But the target doesn’t lie: while I got all Alphas, I want better groups and the work on visual discipline never ends.
